Sheboygan – Prevea Health is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Collis, CNM, a certified nurse-midwife at the Prevea Sheboygan Health Center, 1411 N. Taylor Drive. In welcoming Elizabeth, Prevea now offers patients access to the only certified nurse-midwife in Sheboygan County!

Elizabeth provides routine women’s care for all ages; midwifery care; pregnancy care; labor and delivery support and care at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan; medication management; and lactation and breastfeeding counseling and support.

“I provide all patients with respectful, high quality, and evidence-based care while ensuring they feel heard and empowered to take ownership of their care,” says Elizabeth. “I believe the best care is delivered when shared decision making is utilized and choices are made together, in a collaborative relationship, between myself and my patients.”

With certified nurse-midwifery now available in Sheboygan at Prevea, women can have their labor and delivery managed by a certified nurse-midwife within the safety and comfort of Prevea’s partner hospital - HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital. The certified nurse-midwife works with labor and delivery clinical staff at the hospital providing hands-on care and one-on-one support during labor and delivery. They also have access to obstetricians, a high-risk pregnancy physician, and virtual NICU services in partnership with HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital in Green Bay.

Elizabeth completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University and is certified by the National Certification Corporation in electronic fetal monitoring and inpatient obstetrical nursing. She also earned certification as a lactation counselor from the Healthy Children Project Inc., Center for Breastfeeding.
