Eau Claire, Wis. – Five new physicians have joined the Prevea Health Family Medicine Residency program in Eau Claire and Augusta.
These physicians have finished medical school and are ready to participate in specialized family medicine training for three years. They work under the supervision of experienced faculty physicians and community preceptors to provide direct medical care to patients.
Incoming Resident Physicians:
- Thulasi Priya Jayaprakash, MD, is from Tirupati, India. She graduated from the National Board of Education, St. Philomena’s Hospital, Bengaluru.
- Michael Kholov, MD, is from Oakville, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Ross University School of Medicine.
- Morgan Kresl, MD, is from Crookston, MN. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School.
- Srikrishna Karnatapu, MD, is from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He graduated from All Saints University School of Medicine, Dominica.
- Shane Nebeck, DO, is from La Crosse, Wis. He graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Joan Hamblin, Prevea Health Family Medicine Residency Program Director, says she’s excited to welcome the 46th class of residents to the program.
“It’s rewarding to work with resident physicians because they bring an eagerness to learn and provide new ideas to improve medical care for our patients now and into the future. The residency program is a vital way for Prevea to continue providing highly skilled family physicians to meet the health needs of our communities.”
Resident physicians, along with their faculty physicians, see patients of all ages - from newborns to elderly, in Eau Claire and Augusta for a variety of health care needs including:

- Pregnancy and delivery
- Routine physicals
- Trauma
