Hannah Tumilty, MD
I take the time to understand a patient's story – their background, where they are from, where they hope to go. Taking these pieces of who they are in context, we can come up with an individualized care plan. My goal is always to be understanding and listen without judgement, while having open and honest conversations with my patients.
I have learned it is best to set goals at the beginning of each visit. If a patient has multiple concerns, we will identify top concerns and come up with a “game plan” for that appointment. I find this approach is helpful in navigating complex medical histories. We can then set a plan for tackling the rest of the list whether that be with weekly, monthly or quarterly appointments."
